'Stadio' 100 Table and Four 'Selene' Chairs, designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, Italy, 1960s
The table is made from a dark brown reinforced polished resin with detachable legs. The chairs are made from plastic and come in orange, white and brown
Table: 72cm H (44cm seat H) x 82cm L x 82cm W
Chairs: 71cm H x 96cm W x 96cm D
Good vintage condition. Some light wear to both the table and chairs, including light marks and scratches. This does not affect overall aesthetic. The set can be used both indoor and out.
Stadio is one of the series of objects that Magistretti designed by exploiting the "resistance of shape". The Stadio table was awarded the Gold Medal at the Wiener Mobelsalons International in 1970. The Stadio model is present in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York.
The Selene chair was designed in 1966 by Magistretti to be produced in a plastic material. Selene is the fruit of a single compression moulding process on a pre-impregnated sheet.
