'Him' Chairs by Casamania

Two 'Him' glossy chairs by Fabio Novembre for Casamania, Italy, 2008

Crafted from rotationally mass-dyed moulded polyethylene. Their shape derives from the three-dimensional scanning of a plaster sculpture.

87cm H (43cm seat H) x 49.5cm W x 61.5cm D 

One chair is in great condition, the other has cracks on both sides of the seat, shown in photos 6 & 7. This does not affect structure or function.

Him & Her are born directly from the ideas behind the Panton Chair. An evolution of the hermaphroditic original, declined into the harmony of the two sexes. They assume sculpted forms like naked models of seduction but they feel no shame.
